IPL3 Semi Finals, Final Four Teams Are MI, DC, CSK, RCB
They have minus net run rates but they are number two with 16 points. Batting first today Deccan Chargers made 145 for 7 Andrew Symonds was the Man of the match for his fighting 54. In reply Delhi Daredevils just manages to make 134 for 7 in their 20 over quota. Collingwood fought till the end with his 51 not out but he can’t by avoid his team defeat by 11 runs.
In the presentation Symonds said: “I was disappointed with the way I got out. It was a game where we could have taken it away from them but really pleased for the boys who have fought hard. We may not be the most skillful team in the competition, at times we may be a bit ugly but very effective. The catching was red hot tonight, time to celebrate the win, we’ve done well to pull things together.”
Captain Gilchrist said when asked about consecutive five matches win: “Outstanding game, great courage from the bowlers and Symo was just brilliaint. We needed to win all 5 at one stage and we just kept ticking them off. It’s been a great team effort, Symo, Rohit and a few others have been consistent. The semi-finals is like a new tournament by itself, we will just enjoy the moment now and then look forward to the semis in 4 days time. We have played 2 games in Navi Mumbai so that should help us a bit. As long as we keep winning and I don’t score I am really happy (Laughs)” He said KK while leaving.”
