Kings XI Punjab’s nightmare continues with one more loose. Batting first they made 180 for 5 Captain Sangakkara made 45, Bopara made 42 not out, and Yuvraj finally gets some form and 36. But this all goes in vain as RCB overcome this score and made 184/4 in 19.1 overs.
It was sloppy fielding by kings XI and Robin Uthappa’s 22 off just 8 balls which made all the difference in the match. MOM Pietersen played anchor role of 66 not out, and Kohli made good 42.
Pietersen Said in presentation: “Robin’s innings was the best cameo I have ever seen. I had seen such innings on TV in Bangladesh but it was good to watch it from the other side of the pitch. It was a good batting wicket, we played well as a team. I had to do the anchor job. A legend like Dravid not having a role to play in our chase speaks of the strength in our batting. Batting at 3 is a lot better for me.”
