• Scotland may have lost against New Zealand in their first encounter, but can anyone believe that these minnows have scored 90 runs in 7 overs? In a rain reduced match, the Scots batted first with Watson starting the rain of runs. His 10-ball 27 runs had inspired other team mates to go on fire. Coetzer scored 33 runs in 15 balls 2 sizes included in his cameo and it was only Butler who had been successful bowler for New Zealand. Although New Zealand chased 90 runs easily, the Scots surely entertained the crowds.
• As they face South African in The Oval they will go with a little confidence if not more. They can butcher and go in the pursuit of runs. For South Africa though it will be their first match in the campaign and they would have watched the match between England and Netherlands so they didn’t allow the opposition no matter they are small or big come close to the target.
