The euphoria of IPL is getting bigger and bigger season after season and no one can the fact that the T20 cricket has come of a age. The match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders was the perfect example of the tense and nerve wrecking situation and it has all the ingredients of a true contest and the team playing better won the game.
The 10th match of the IPL season 2 between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals was the first match in the history of the T20 and IPL where the first super over was bowled.
Earlier the match started with a delay due to rains and RR were put to bat by the KKR after winning the toss.Batting first RR scored 150/6 in the complete quota of the 20 overs. Chasing the total of 151 runs KKR made 150/8 and the match was tied due some great perfomance by Kamran Khan from RR with a figure of 18/3 inh his quota of fours overs.
Then the time came when the match was going to be decided by the super over and it was the first time that a super over was being bowled in a match and everyone was curious to know that who wins and what happens in the tie breaker situation. KKR in their super over made 15 runs for the loss 1 wicket and Kamran Khan became the first bowler in the history of T20 and IPL to bowl the first SUPER Over and in reply the RR royals batsmen Yousuf Pathan scored 18 runs in just 4 balls and rajasthan Royals wins the match.
